Winston Churchill once said, “I am always ready to learn although I do not always like being taught.” In fact, it will be even harder if the person is a teacher himself/herself. But Galileo Galilei had said “You cannot teach a man anything. You can only help him discover it within himself.” As a resource person to various Faculty development program, I am practicing this approach.

We know sharing is caring. I share with the participants many professional practices relevant to technical education. I also motivate the faculty to adopt competitive teaching and learning methods, so that they can outperform their peers.

I train the faculty members to systematically improve their skills in the following areas :

• Online educational tools
• Integration of ICT for teaching learning activities
• Instructional design principles
• Different methods to engage the students
• Personal development
• Skills in designing, developing, and implementing best practices
• Development of massive open online courses
• Open educational resources

As a UGC-HRDC resource person. I have been regularly contributing to various Faculty development program (FDP) and Faculty Induction program (FIP). The different subject areas include :

• Green chemistry
• Bioorthogonal chemistry
• Massive open online courses (MOOC)
• Application of tools and techniques to create, edit and evaluate online lectures.
